Electric Go Kart
We have found two different battery powered go karts that met
performance, value and safety standards that we desired for an
electric go kart for our own children, they are the razor go-cart
and the hotwheels go kart.
The electric gokart is the best choice as far as go carts go for kids
aged between 5 and 15 years, they are much safer than a
gas-powered fun kart which produces toxic fumes, excessive noise,
heat and can leak fuel and oil.
These battery powered go karts are fast but also quiet and
and with zero emissions your children are not breathing in fumes
and carbon monixide.
I have found with the extra weight of the battery and it's housing
the electric gokart is almost impossible to tip over an added
safety advantage amongst others.
Electric go karts are specifically designed for children and
youngsters from 5 age to 15 years because they incorporate more
safety features and are much quieter and much easier for younger
kids to operate and so are perfect for use in residential areas.
An electric go cart is also easy to use-just turn the key and go!
Since these electric go karts have quick-swap battery packs the
range and length of ride time is no problem.
An electric gokart is also much easier to maintain, they have
far fewer moving parts than gas go karts, so there is less that can
go wrong with your electric go kart.
From past experience we found that it cost about an extra $150 a year
to maintain a kids gas gocart, it easilly costs much less to maintain
a kids electric go kart and so in the long run you save money and
time.
The immediate cost for electric go karts is also far cheaper than a
gas kart, the razor electric go kart
and the hotwheels go cart both
go for less than two hundred dollars, as opposed to the cheapest kids
gas powered go kart which is around five hundred dollars.
So in terms of safety, cost, performance and maintainence the battery
powered electric go kart is the best option for younger kids.
Razor Go-Carts
Razor Go-Carts are the ideal toy for junior go kart racers-in-training,
giving kids the excitement of driving their own razor go-cart.
The razor electric go kart averages around 12 kmh and will
go for a fair while until you need to recharge.
They are designed with your childrens safety in mind which is
an essential factor when buying a go cart. Razor go carts are designed for use in controlled riding environments
and although they state the minimum age for riders should be 10
years, probably see action in much younger and older hands.
I have seen a few dads squeeze themselves into the drivers seat, the
kids are lucky to get back behind the wheel once dad starts reliving
his formula 1 fantasies in the kids razor go-cart.
A razor electric go kart can handle a maximum weight of 100 kg. As
opposed to gas go karts they are very easy to handle and maneuver
for children, they also have better control in cornering and ground
hugging stability.
The Razor Go Kart offers you a full-featured, electric-powdered
design that speeds along at up to 20 mph and plenty of drive time.
You control it with a easy to use hand-operated accelerator
and brake on the steering wheel. It features a strong steel
construction and a belt drive for quiet operation and it comes
set-up with a seatbelt and high-visibility flag for added safety.
Razor has numerous awards, including the Toy Industry Association's
"Toy of the Year," and "Toy of the Year" honors from TIME Magazine,
Parents, Parenting, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Nick Jr. and U.S.
News & World Report.
Hot Wheels Go Kart
The hotwheels go kart is a 12 volt
battery powered ride on, the Hot Wheels Go Karts are designed
for kids 6 years old and up. Vehicle and graphics are styled to
resemble a Hot Wheels die cast racing car. It also includes a stop
watch that detaches from the steering wheel. Designing your own
racing course is also possible with a track template and sidewalk
chalk that is provides.
The hotwheels go kart drives forward at speeds up to
10 mph, depending on weight and terrain. Designed for hard surfaces
only.
A hotwheels go kart is full of safety features, is very difficult to
tip over and as it keeps speeds to under 10km an hour is very safe for
junior drivers up to 10 years, although i have seen 15 year olds zip
around on one without discomfort.
Between a hot wheels go cart and razor go-carts, the hot wheels go
cart is definately a better choice for the 5 to 9 year old beginner
group, you can always trade up if your children demand more speed
and at $199 it is a cheap way to enter the go kart world.
Hot Wheels Go Cart Review
Yesterday, I bought one of these, my kids love it! It is really fast!
The handling is great. My kids ages are, 3,5,13 & 15. They all had a
blast. In fact, they had so much fun that today I bought another one,
the GT racer! Basically, the exact same hot wheels go kart with a
slightly different body style. My 3 1/2 year old rides on the GT racer
(with a pillow folded behind him) I don't know why but for a smaller
child the body style of the GT racer is more accomodating!
I can't get him off it !!!!! Great buy!!!! Hope this helps!
Hot Wheels Go-Cart Review
We have 5 children and have two of the hotwheels go karts.
Our children range in age from 4 years old up to 16 years old and
all of them love them. Our 4 year old is a little to small to ride
by himself so he usually rides with one of his older siblings. Our
16 year old is over 6 feet and still has no problems racing one of
his younger brothers or sister around the neighborhood.
Hot wheels go karts are extremely durable and have been tested not
only by our kids but most of the neighborhood kids as well.
A hot wheels go kart for your kid is a real winner from Fisher Price!
